Norfolk Ledger Dispatch August 28, 1928

McCLOUD - At his residence, 212 West Indian River Road, Monday afternoon, August 
27, 1928, at 5:15 o'clock, FRANKLIN BALLENTINE McCLOUD, son of E.W. McCloud and 
the late Mrs. Annie George McCloud, husband of Mrs. Ida Keller McCloud, aged 28 
years, 10 months and 12 days.
The body was taken to the funeral home of E. Lee Cox, 124 East Berkley Avenue, 
where funeral services will be conducted WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, at 2 o'clock. 
Friends are invited. Burial will be in the family plot in Magnolia Cemetery.

Franklin Ballentine McCloud, aged 28, died yesterday afternoon at 5:15 o'clock 
at his home, 212 West Indian River Road, after an illness of five days. He had 
been employed at the Norfolk Southern shops for several years and had a wide 
circle of friends.
He was a native of this section, being a son of E.W. and the late Mrs. Annie 
George McCloud. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida Keller McCloud; two 
sisters, Mrs. W.A. Tatem, of Coronado, Cal. and Mrs. A.W. Heffley, of Ocean 
View, and three brothers, F.R. McCloud, of Norfolk; Harry McCloud, of Brooklyn, 
N.Y. and Samuel McCloud, of Weehawken, N.J. He was a member of Oakdale Lodge No. 
70, I.O.O.F.
The body was taken to the funeral home of E. Lee Cox, 124 East Berkley Avenue, 
where funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. 
Burial will be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.
