NORFOLK - Edward Emmett McConnehey, 86, of 1118 Jamestown Crescent, the husband 
of Mrs. Myrel Elizabeth Moverly McConnehey and retired assistant secretary-
treasurer of Virginian Railway Co., died Tuesday afternoon in a hospital.
He was a native of Boone, Iowa.
He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus 
Council 367, and Elks Lodge 38.
Other survivors include a son, Charles E. McConnehey of Norfolk; four 
grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. H. D. Oliver 
Funeral Apartments has charge. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary’s 
Infant Home.
A Christian Wake service will be held tonight at 7 in the Funeral Apartments.
