Virginian-Pilot July 23, 1960
NORFOLK - Mrs. Jessie Connerd McConnell, 89, widow of William J. McConnell and 
daughter of the late John and Sarah Connerd, died in her residence 708 Stockley 
Gardens, Apt. 5, at 6:30 a.m. yesterday.
A native of Gloucester, N.J., she had been a resident of Norfolk for 12 years.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ressie Lee Lewis and one son, James C. 
McConnell of Norfolk and five grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Monday at 10 
a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
A Rosary service will be held at H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Sunday at 7:30 
p.m.
