 Norfolk Ledger Dispatch June 17, 1924

Peter McCourt, 77 years old, died yesterday evening at Greensboro, N.C. He was a 
native of Ireland and was formerly a resident of Norfolk. He is survived by one 
sister, Mrs. Rosanna Ahman, of Greensboro and a number of nieces and nephews. 
Services will be held at the residence of his nephew, F.P. Ahman, 511 West 
Thirtieth Street, tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment will be in St. 
Mary's Cemetery.

Peter McCourt - Funeral services for Mr. McCourt were conducted yesterday 
afternoon at 3 o’clock from the residence of his nephew, F. P. Ahman, 511 West 
Thirtieth street. The Rev. Leo J. Ryan and the Rev. P. P. Brennan officiated. 
There was a large attendance and many floral tributes. Pallbearers were M. 
T.Cashin, John T. Milan, H. J. Hicks, F. L. Barry, M. J. Madden and W. S. 
Buchanan. 
Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
