Norfolk Ledger Dispatch October 5, 1949

Miss Flora Eulalie McCourt, 52, daughter of the late Frank William and Mrs. Mary 
Griffin McCourt, died at 3:45 a.m. today at a local hospital.
Miss McCourt was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, residing at 6017 
River Road, Riverpoint, at the time of her death.
Surviving her are four brothers, the Rev. Francis J. McCourt, of Edenton, N.C., 
Charles B. McCourt, John L. McCourt and Robert I. McCourt, all of Norfolk, four 
sisters, Mrs. Charles W. Gerloff, Sr., Mrs. Frank J. Cato, Mrs. Raymond H. Bruns 
and Mrs. Charles E. Woodfind, all of Norfolk.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, to Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church, for services Friday morning t 11 o'clock. Interment 
will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the Oliver 
Funeral Apartments, Thursday evening at 8 o'clock.

McCOURT, FLORA EULALIE – At a local hospital, Wednesday, October 5, 1949, at 
3:45 a.m., FLORA EULALIE McCOURT, daughter of the late Frank William and Mary 
Griffin McCourt, in the 53d year of her age. Remains will be taken from the H. 
D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, to Blessed Sacrament 
Catholic Church for services FRIDAY MORNING, October 7, 1949, at 11 o’clock. 
Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery.
