Virginian-Pilot  March 30, 1916
Charles A. McCourt, aged 83 years, died early yesterday morning at a local 
hospital following a long illness. A native of Virginia, he had lived in Norfolk 
60 years and was greatly esteemed. The funeral will take place Friday at 10 a.m. 
at Sacred Heart Catholic church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery. He is 
survived by his wife, one son, C. Ward McCourt, and a sister, Miss Ella McCourt, 
all of Norfolk.
