Mrs. McCoy was born in Princess Anne County and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She had retired from Norfolk State University. Survivors include her husband, George B. McCoy Sr.; six daughters, Bernadette McCoy-White of Edgewood, Md., and Angela M. Harrell, Cherrly M. Wideman, Gay M. Brown, Gayle M. Franks and Sonja P. McCoy, all of Norfolk; two sons, George McCoy Jr. and Ira E. McCoy, both of Norfolk; her mother, Helen R. Smith of Norfolk; two sisters, Marjorie E. Perry and Veronica Smith-Melchor, both of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Robert A. Woodhouse Sr. of Norfolk, James H. Woodhouse of Philadelphia and Joseph E. Woodhouse of Washington; and nine grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Bethlehem Baptist Church by the Rev. L.P. Watson. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Riddick Funeral Service. Friends may join the family at 1209 Lead St., Apt. H.
