 Funeral services for Peter McCoy, of 903 Middlesex street, were conducted at 
Pretlow’s Funeral Home Sunday afternoon.  The Rev. M. L. Beamon, pastor, St. 
Thomas AME Zion Church, officiated.

Mr. McCoy, a retired employee of a Norfolk box company, died at a Norfolk 
hospital Thursday morning, Oct. 8.

A native of Norfolk, he was a son of the late Albert and Mrs. Charlotte McCoy, 
and husband of the late Mrs. Fannie Nixon McCoy.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Nixon of Norfolk and Hurdle McCoy of 
Washington;  one daughter, Mrs. Alberta Johnson of Norfolk; one sister, Miss 
Rosa McCoy of Portsmouth;  and six grandsons.

Burial was in Mount Olive Cemetery with Pretlow’s Funeral Home in charge of 
arrangements.
