Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, November 15, 2002 
Vernell Harrison McCoy of the 500 block of Timothy Ave. was called home to
eternal rest Nov. 9, 2002.

She was the only child born to the late Verna Lee and Lewis Harrison. She was
born March 20, 1955 in Norfolk. Mrs. McCoy accepted Jesus Christ as her personal
Savior at an early age and attended numerous churches.

Vernell loved her children. She is survived by her husband, Ronald McCoy; four
daughters, Pamela, Sonya, Tanisha, and Andria; a son, Vonnail, all of Norfolk;
and a host of aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. She was predeceased
by a son, Shawn Maurice Harrison.

A homegoing service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Graves Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be at the funeral home today
from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at 518 Timothy Ave. for
the procession.
