Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, December 2, 2010 
NORFOLK - Daisy White McCoy, 85, was called home Nov. 27, 2010 in her home
surrounded by her loving family. Born Oct. 4, 1925 to the late David and Jane
White, she was married to the late Theodore J. McCoy Sr. She was employed with
Norfolk Public Schools until her retirement. She attended First Baptist Church
Campostella at an early age.

She was preceded in death by Marie, Elizabeth, David, Johnnie and Sarah White.
Those left to cherish her memory are four daughters, Gwendolyn Dozier, Debora
Hamlin (Lionel), Alfreda Brown (Donald), and Felicia McCoy; one son ,Ronald
McCoy; a stepson, Francis McCoy; 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two
sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Dec. 4, at noon in Enoch
Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk.
Viewing will be held Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. in Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home,
Chesapeake, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Online
