Norfolk Journal and Guide,Saturday,May 21,1921
Mr. Charles McCoy, who for several months has been sick, died at the residence
of his sister, 606 Chapel street, Norfolk, May 5,1921. The funeral was held at
St. John’s A. M. E. Church Sunday, May 8th, at 1:30 p.m. and was largely
attended. Members of the Elks acted as pall bearers. The remains were laid to
rest in Calvary Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, one brother and a sister.
