Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark February 23, 1917

The funeral of Eleanor, five-year-old daughter of Lieutenant John McCracken, 
U.S.N. and Mrs. McCracken, who died yesterday at the residence, 1024 Graydon 
Avenue, will take place at the residence privately this morning and will be 
conducted by Rev. Thomas E. Waters of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will 
be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

The funeral of Eleanor McCracken took place yesterday morning at the residence 
of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.J. McCracken, 1024 Graydon Avenue and was 
conducted by Rev. T.E. Waters, of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. There were many 
floral tributes. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
