Mrs. Marie deC. Leaming McDermott, widow of J. D. McDermott, died suddenly at her 
residence, 209 Fourth View street, Willoughby, last night at 8:20 oíclock. She is 
survived by four daughters, Mrs. H. L. Horton, Mrs. C. R. Ragan and Mrs. R. O. 
Sawyer, all of Norfolk, and Mrs. G. H. Saunders, of Washington, D.C.; three sons, 
J. D. McDermott, Jr., of Washington, and Charles and Hugh V. McDermott, of 
Norfolk; a brother, J. P. Leaming, of Richmond, and several grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, pending funeral 
arrangements.
