PENSACOLA, Fla. - Navy Lt. Joseph Alexander McDermott Jr., 25, a Navy flyer for 
six years and the husband of Mrs. Anna F. McDermott, died here Monday.
He was a resident of 5033 W. Lewis Ave., Phoenix, Ariz. He was born in 
Washington, D.C., and was a graduate of North Arizona University. He was a 
Catholic.
Other survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. McDermott of 
Coronado, Calif.; a son, Patrick McDermott of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a brother, 
Sean McDermott of Coronado.
The body is being sent to H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, for a 
funeral Monday at 9 a.m. in the Catholic Chapel of Norfolk Naval Air Station, 
Gate 3 A. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Norfolk.
