Virginian-Pilot June 28, 1901
The funeral of Miss Mary McDonald, who died at the Norfolk Protestant Hospital 
Wednesday afternoon, aged 80 years, took place yesterday morning at the Sacred 
Heart Catholic Church, requiem mass being conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Father 
R. A. Drake. The interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, the following being the 
pallbearers: Messrs. James O’Rourke, Peter Burns, James T. Holland, W. B. Rudolph, 
M. J. Madden and Stephen O’Connor. The deceased had lived in the family of General 
R. L. Page for forty years.
