NORFOLK - George Eaddy McDuffie, 79, of 522 Spotswood Ave., died in a hospital 
Monday.
A native of South Carolina, he lived here three years.
He was a registered pharmacist and worked in Washington more than 50 years.
He was employed by Group Health Associates, a medical services cooperative for 
government employees.
He was the husband of Mrs. Ellen Catherine O’Neill McDuffie and a son of Duncan 
and Mrs. Martha Penelope McDuffie.
Besides his widow, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Ann Powell, of 
Norfolk; a son, George E. McDuffie Jr., of Silver Spring. Md.; a sister, Miss 
Bessie McDuffie, of Marion, S.C.; and 17 grandchildren.
The Rosary will be said in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tonight at 7:30.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Thursday at 10 
a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
