Virginian Pilot June 5, 1902 

The funeral of the late Mr. Thomas McGill, whose death occurred at his boarding 
house, corner of Church and Mariner Streets, Sunday, was solemnized from Mr. H.D. 
Oliver's Funeral Apartments Tuesday. The services were conducted by the Rev. 
George W. Lawson, pastor of Park Place Presbyterian Church. The obsequies were 
attended by a delegation of the Paper Hangers and Decorators' union, of which the 
deceased was a member.  Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
