Virginian-Pilot  March 26 & 27, 1914
John McGrath, a well-known citizen of Norfolk, died at 5:30 o’clock yesterday 
morning at St. Vincent’s hospital, after an illness of three months. He was 60 
years old. He had been an employee of the hospital. Mr. McGrath is survived by 
his wife and by a married daughter, who lives in New Jersey. The body was 
removed to Oliver’s funeral apartments, 610-12 Freemason street. The funeral 
arrangements have not been completed.

McGRATH - At St. Vincent’s Hospital, on Wednesday, March 25, 1914, at 5:30 
o’clock, a.m., JOHN McGRATH, aged 60 years.
Services at H. D. Oliver’s funeral apartments, Nos. 610-12 E. Freemason street, 
FRIDAY MORNING at 11 o’clock. Friends are invited to attend.
