                   John J. McGraw Dies Of Sudden Heart Attack

John Joseph McGraw, 56, who reported for work in connection with improvements at 
the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital on Hampton Boulevard today, died of a 
heart attack at 7 a.m. He had come from his residence, 1824 Springfield Avenue, 
with the expectation of starting work, but sudden death prevented. A coroner's 
investigation disclosed death due to natural causes.
McGraw, the son of the late J.J. and Mrs. Elizabeth McDonough McGraw, is 
survived by his widow, Mrs. Maria DeBaun McGraw; two daughters, Mrs. Maud 
Richardson and Mrs. Nellie Holmes, of Chicago; three nieces, Mrs. Alice 
Vlockiston, Miss Agnes Thorn and Mrs. Louise Hickman, of Baltimore and two 
grandchildren. The body was removed to the Williams funeral home, 1027 
Chesapeake Avenue, South Norfolk, pending completion of funeral arrangements.

McGRAW - Suddenly, at 7 a.m. Monday, June 18, 1934, at the U. S. Public Service 
hospital, JOHN JOSEPH McGRAW, aged 56 years of 1824 Springfield Avenue. Son of 
the late John Joseph and Mrs. Elizabeth McDonough McGraw and husband of Mrs. 
Maria DeBaun McGraw.
The body was removed to the J.R. Williams Funeral Home, 1027 Chesapeake Avenue, 
South Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted in the family residence 
WEDNESDAY MORNING, June 20, at 11 o'clock. Friends invited. Burial will be in 
the family plot in Magnolia Cemetery.
