A native of Norfolk County, she lived in Norfolk County and Campostella all of her life. She was the widow of John Joseph McGraw and a daughter of John Garrett and Mrs. Maria Wright DeBaun. She attended Berkley Military Institute and was a 1906 graduate of Longwood College. She taught at Grassfield School in Norfolk County. Later she was a clerk at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, and then a secretary for Dr. Southgate Lee. She was the oldest member of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church. She is survived by four nieces, Mrs. Myrtie Holbrook of Bethesda, Md., Mrs. Evelyn Howell of Louisville, Ky., Miss Ellen Maria Hamer of Norfolk, and Mrs. Mary Gammon of Chesapeake; and five nephews, Lewis Curling and Dennis Curling of Chesapeake, John Curling of Richmond, Samuel Curling of Alexandrian and John Hamer, of Norfolk. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk, by the Rev. Willis E. Joyner of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church and the Rev. Paul D. Moore of Woodland Heights Baptist Church. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9. They will assemble before the service Tuesday at her home.
