A native of Bayonne, N.J., he had resided in South Norfolk for 33 years. He was employed as a pumpman by the Texas Oil Company in South Norfolk. His late parents were Charles Owen and Mrs. Theresa McCaffery McGuire. He was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Berkley. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Shelly McGuire; one daughter, Mrs. E. F. Etheridge, and one son, Raymond Michael McGuire, both of South Norfolk; one sister, Miss Hazel McGuire, of Bellville, N.J., and five brothers, Charles E. McGuire, William H. McGuire and Vincent F. McGuire, all of Bayonne, Howard N. McGuire, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Leroy A. McGuire, of Stamford, Conn. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Berkley. Rosary services will be conducted today at 8 p.m. at the Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Norfolk.
