CHESAPEAKE - Mrs. Margaret Shelley McGuire, 83, of 1215 Freeman Ave., a native of 
Savannah, Ga., and the widow of Raymond J. McGuire, died Friday in a Virginia 
Beach hospital.
She was a retired bookkeeper of Nichols Fertilizer Co. and was a member of St. 
Matthew’s Catholic Church and its Women’s Club, and First Senior Citizens Club of 
Chesapeake.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth M. Etheridge of Virginia Beach; a 
son, Raymond M. McGuire of Tacoma Park, Md.; a sister, Mrs. Ellen Whalen of Staten 
Island, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Matthew’s Catholic 
Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. A Christian wake service 
will be held in H.D. Oliver’s Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road, tonight at 7 p.m.
