Virginian-Pilot  April 29, 1926
Howard McGuire, proprietor of the Norfolk Engraving Company and formerly in charge 
of the engraving of the Virginian-Pilot, died yesterday morning at 5:30 o’clock at 
his apartment in the Randolph Apartments, 635 Graydon Park. He was 45 years old.
Mr. McGuire was born at St. John’s, N.B., and had lived in Norfolk for the past 16 
years. He was very widely known here.
He was the son of the late Frank and Mary Shannon McGuire and is survived by a 
sister, Miss Florence McGuire, and two brothers, W. H. McGuire and S. J. McGuire 
of St. John’s, N.B.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o’clock at Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
