Mrs. Elsie Lee McGuire, 66, widow of P. H. McGuire, died at a Norfolk hospital 
yesterday at 4:15 p. m.
She was a native of Durham, N.C., and a resident of Norfolk for the past 12 years, 
residing at 800 West Princess Anne Road at the time of her death. She was a member 
of Central Baptist Church.
Surviving are a brother, Vernon Lee, of Huntsville, Ala.; two nephews, Vernon Lee, 
Jr., of Huntsville, Ala., and Julius Lee, of Durham, and two nieces, Mrs. Myrtle 
Young, of Birmingham, Ala., and Mrs. Polly Prentice, of Miami, Fla. The body was 
taken to the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.

Mrs. Elsie Lee McGuire - Funeral services for Mrs. McGuire, widow of P. H. 
McGuire, who died Tuesday, will be conducted at the H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments tomorrow at 11 a.m. by the Rev. P. Rowland Warner, pastor of Central 
Baptist Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
