Virginian Pilot August 20, 1908

Mrs. Elizabeth McHorney died yesterday afternoon about 4 o'clock at the home of 
her daughter, Mrs Alice Davis, near Wilson's Corner, South Norfolk, after a 
brief illness.  She was 66 years old, was a native of North Carolina, but had 
been a resident of South Norfolk several years.  She is survived by three 
children, B.F. and James McHorney and a daughter, Mrs. Davis, of South Norfolk 
and a brother, John Goodwin, of North Carolina.
The funeral will be conducted from the residence of her daughter this afternoon 
at 5 o'clock and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.  Rev. J.O. Cox, 
pastor of the South Norfolk Christian Church, will officiate.

The funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth McHorney was conducted from the residence of her 
daughter, Mrs. Alice Davis, in South Norfolk yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock.
Rev. J.O. Cox, pastor of the South Norfolk Christian Church, officiated, and the 
interment was in Magnolia Cemetery.
The funeral services were quite largely attended.
