Virginian Pilot February 25, 1987

Raymond L. McHorney, 85, of the 2600 block of Eastwood Ave., died Feb. 24, 1987, 
in a hospital.
Mr. McHorney, the widower of Betty McHorney, was a South Norfolk native.  He was 
a member of the Willie Lee Pythian Lodge and Dokies.
Survivors include two daughters, Ginger Stauffer of Virginia Beach and Sharon 
Ellington of Chesapeake; a son, Herman N. McHorney of Chesapeake; 10 
grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Magnolia Cemetery, Norfolk, 
by the Rev. Randy Rule.  The family will be at Gay & Oman Funeral Homes, Francis 
A. Gay Chapel, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and at the residence.
