McHorney, 69, of 800 Baldwin Ave., died Sunday at 12:30 p.m. in her home. A lifelong resident of Norfolk, she was a daughter of John Ellis and Mrs. Lillie Forbes McHorney. She was a member of Colonial Avenue United Methodist Church. She retired from Seaboard National Bank after 15 years. She is survived by two sisters, Miss Pearl McHorney and Mrs. Gertrude M. Forbes of Norfolk; and two nephews, G. Raleigh Bain of Jackson, N.C. and Oscar E. Forbes of Norfolk. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments by the Rev. Emmet W.S. Gowin, of Colonial Avenue United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
