Virginian-Pilot  October 13, 1940
Mrs. Mary J. McHugh, widow of John P. McHugh, a native and lifelong resident of 
Norfolk, died at the residence, 820 Raleigh avenue, yesterday morning at 12:30 
o’clock. She is survived by three cousins, of Philadelphia, Pa.
Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church tomorrow morning at 
10 o’clock. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at 
the residence tonight at 7:30 o’clock.
