Charles Augustus McIver, 767 Johnson avenue, died January 20 at the age of 68.  
He was a retired Pullman Porter for the Norfolk and Western Railroad.

He is survived by four brothers, one sister, a foster son.  He was the husband 
of the late Mrs. Mattie B. McIver who died a few months ago.

Final rites were conducted January 24 at Metropolitan AMEZ Church with Rev. 
Richard Council officiating.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with King’s Funeral Home in charge.
