Mr. McKay, a Norfolk native, had retired from the Naval Air Rework Facility after 35 years. He was a member and trustee of Queen Street Baptist Church, a member of Malachi Lodge 136 Prince Hall Masons, Alpha and Omega Consistory 9, and was the oldest living member of the Excelsior Brass and Reed Band. Survivors include his wife, Edna Holloman McKay. The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Queen Street Baptist Church by the Rev. Lloyd R. Williams. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Riddick Funeral Service. Alpha & Omega Consistory 9 will have a memorial service at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m.Thursday. Friends may join the family at 1401 Hillandale Road.
