Virginian-Pilot, July 22, 1930
James McKinzie, aged 58, died yesterday morning at a local hospital. Remains were removed to H. D. Oliver's Funeral Apts, 610-12 E Freemason Street, pending funeral arrangements.

Virginian-Pilot, August 8, 1930
James McKenzie - Funeral services for Mr. McKenzie, whose death occurred at a 
local hospital on July 19, will be held at H. D. Oliver's Funeral Apts, 610-12 
East Freemason Street, this morning at 11 o'clock with the Rev. E. A. Brosnan, 
pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be in St. 
Mary's Cemetery.

Comments: DOD: July 19, 1930. Funeral: August 8, 1930, presumably because he was a Canadian citizen.
