Mrs. Joseph (Virginia Hegarty) McKenzie, 60, of Norfolk, Va., formerly of 
Decatur, died November 17,1988 in her home.
Services were in Norfolk with arrangements by H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 
Norfolk. Burial was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Norfolk.
Mrs. McKenzie was born in Decatur, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Hegarty. She 
was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a volunteer at DePaul Medical 
Center. She married Joseph F. McKenzie.
Surviving are her husband; daughters, Katherine Sue Charleton of Syosset, N.Y.; 
Sally Ann McKenzie and Lesa Elian McKenzie, both of Denver, Colo.; Laura Hartee 
of Norfolk; brother, David Hegarty of Decatur; sisters, Mary Daley of Omaha, 
Neb.; Sally Kate McKenzie of Wisconsin; two grandchildren.
One brother preceded her in death.
