Virginian-Pilot  April 17, 1961
NORFOLK - James S. McKevitt, husband of the late Ann Magee McKevitt and son of 
Michael and Ellen Mulholland McKevitt, died in a hospital here Sunday at 6:45 
a.m.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, lately of 518 Washington Park, he was a member 
of the Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He is survived by two sons, Michael J. McKevitt and Thomas J. McKevitt of 
Norfolk; three daughters, Ellen B. McKevitt, Catherine E. McKevitt and Mrs. 
Edward Pressler of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Nellie McKevitt Bass of Norfolk; and 
two grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Tuesday at 10 
a.m. with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. A rosary service will be held in H. D. 
Oliver Funeral Apartments today at 7:30 p.m.
