NORFOLK—Thomas Francis McKiernan, 83, of 3225 Argonne Ave., died Saturday in a 
hospital.
A native of Woonsocket, R.I., he was the husband of the late Blanche Redmond 
McKiernan. He retired as an engineer at DePaul Hospital and served in the 80th. 
Infantry Division in World War I. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic 
Church and Holy Society of Christ the King.
Survivors include a niece, Mrs. Mary Ellen Woodhouse of Norfolk.
A Joyful Mass of the Resurrection will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Christ the 
King Catholic Church by the Rev. Fr. J. Michael Breslin. Burial will be in St. 
Mary’s Cemetery. A Christian wake will be held Monday at 7:30 p.m. in H.D. 
Oliver Funeral Apartments. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 
to 9.
