CHESAPEAKE - Mrs. Aileen McCauley McKown, 74, of 2915 Mayon Drive, the widow of 
Samuel D. McKown and a native of Norfolk, died Wednesday at 11:05 a.m. in 
Portsmouth.
She was a lifelong area resident and a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 
Virginia Beach, and the Over 50 Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Russell of Portsmouth and Mrs. 
Betty Jones of Tampa, Fla., nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
A Christian Wake service will be held Friday night at 7 in Hollomon-Brown 
Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, where the family also will be from 7 to 9. A 
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Matthew’s 
Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Norfolk. After the 
funeral, the family will be at 1918 Lockard Ave., Chesapeake.
