NORFOLK - Charles Franklin McLane Sr., 69, of 3920 Larkin St., the husband of 
Bonita M. McLane and a retired warehouse manager for Cain Electronics, died 
Thursday in a Portsmouth hospital.
A native of Peekskill, N.Y., he was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church 
and the Fleet Reserve Association. He was a retired Navy chief petty officer 
with 20 years of service.
Other survivors include a daughter, Kathleen Dalby of Chesapeake; three sons, 
Michael J. McLane, John L. McLane and Charles F. McLane Jr. of Norfolk; three 
sisters, Mrs. H.M. Scully of Hastings, N.Y., Mrs. Philip DelValle of Santa Rosa, 
Calif., and Mrs. Donald Berrigan of Honolulu, Hawaii; and two grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday in Christ the King Catholic 
Church by the Rev. J. Michael Breslin. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery 
Mausoleum with Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, in charge. 
Memorial donations may be made to Christ the King Church.
A Wake will be held in the funeral home at 7 p.m. Sunday.
