Virginian-Pilot  November 27, 1935
Frank R. McLaughlin, aged 57, husband of Gertrude Green McLaughlin and son of the 
late Maurice and Mary McLaughlin, died at the residence, 431 West Twenty-ninth 
street, yesterday afternoon at 3:50 o’clock. Mr. McLaughlin was a native of New 
York and a resident of Norfolk for the past 53 years, and was well known and 
highly esteemed by a wide circle of friends.
For the past 20 years he was employed as plumber with the city Water Department. 
He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. 
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Misses Marguerite, Gertrude 
and Frances McLaughlin, of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church tomorrow 
morning at 10:30 o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
