Virginian-Pilot September 13, 1906
The obsequies of Morris McLaughlin were held from St. Mary’s Catholic church at 9 
a.m. yesterday and was attended by a large concourse of the friends of the 
deceased. The service was conducted by the Rev. Father Edward J. Walsh, associate 
pastor of the church. During the service, Mrs. James Hughes sang “Nearer My God to 
Thee.” There was a beautiful display of floral tributes. The interment was in St. 
Mary’s cemetery. The pallbearers were as follows: W. J. Green, J. E. Prince, 
Samuel Davidson, J. T. Holland, James Brennan, Patrick Rice, Geo. M. Heppel and M. 
H. Prince.
