NORFOLK – Frank Murto McLaughlin Sr., 55, of 515 W. Little Creek Road, husband 
of Mrs. Mabel Lee Sands McLaughlin, died in a hospital Friday evening.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he was a real estate broker, a member of Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church and Lions Club.
He was a son of John Patrick and Marie Bell McLaughlin.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Air Force Capt. Frank M. 
McLaughlin Jr., of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Timothy G. McLaughlin, of 
Norfolk; a daughter, Mrs. E. J. Gerloff III, of Camden, S.C.; two sisters, Mrs. 
Peggy M. Cannon and Mrs. Elizabeth M. Galloway, of Norfolk; three brothers, Owen 
P. McLaughlin, of Portsmouth, Paul M. McLaughlin, of Norfolk, and Austin J. 
McLaughlin of Bellbrooke, Ohio; and three grandchildren.
A Requiem Mass will be said in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Painter 
Street, Monday a 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
The Office of the Dead will be recited in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments 
tonight at 7.
