Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, December 7, 2000 
Mary Regina W. Hatchell McLean, 59, of the 1900 block of Robert Hall Blvd.,
passed quietly and peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, Dec. 4, 2000.

A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Russell Butts and Merteen
Wilson Watler.

Regina was a state of Virginia board certified registered nurse, had been
employed with Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and was a nursing instructor at
the time of her retirement. She received her education at St. Joseph Catholic
School and Norfolk Catholic High School. She was a member of Way of the Cross
Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory three daughters, Regina A. Hatchell,
Carla M. Lewis and LaToya P. McLean; two sons, Chavous A. Hatchell III and
Christopher V. Hatchell Sr.; three sisters, Carleen W. Hall, Gladys Watler and
Alverta W. Elliott; three brothers, Robert Earl Wilson, Renaldo Watler and
Carlton Wendall Watler. She was predeceased by a son, Carlton Hatchell and a
sister, Annette Cecelia Dean.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Union Baptist Church, 4608 South Blvd.,
with the Rev. Daniel Erwin officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery .
Viewing will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will
receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday and at 3221 Marengo
Drive, Virginia Beach, at other times. The funeral procession will assemble at
4044 Windsor Gate Place on Saturday. Riddick Funeral Service is in charge of
arrangements.
