Virginian-Pilot  February 29, 1952
Joseph Francis McMahon, 76, son of Michael and Mrs. Harriett Fereel McMahon, died 
at a Norfolk hospital yesterday at 3:05 p.m. He was a native of Halifax, N.C., and 
a resident of Norfolk 25 years, residing at 334 Mowbray Arch at the time of his 
death. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Council 367, Knights of 
Columbus.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Jane deLoatch McMahon, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. 
John T. Klein, Jr., of Norfolk.
The body will be taken from the H. D, Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church for services tomorrow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery.
