M. McMahon. Solemn requiem mass was said, the officiating priests being the Rev. Father Francis Doory, of Elkridge, Md., a friend of the deceased, celebrant; the Rev. Father Doherty, deacon; the Rev. Father Reilly, sub-deacon, and the Rev. Father Frioli master of ceremonies. The Rev. Fathers Brady and Hanley, of Portsmouth, and the Rev. Father Wilson occupied seats in the sanctuary. The music was in perfect accord with the services, Miss Elizabeth A. Taylor and Miss Mary Smith, of Norfolk, and Mr. Thomas McNulty, of Baltimore, singing solos. The casket, which was covered with choice flowers, was handled by the following gentlemen: Messrs. J. C. Carroll, A. W. Mehagan, Stephen V. Hennelly, James A. Kerr, James W. Long, T. H. Synon, Patrick Larkin and James E. Duke. The following were the honorary pallbearers: Messrs. William H. White, Peter Smith, William Hart, William Schroeder, Edward Mahoney, William M. Hannan, John Twohy and William Parker. The interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
