Virginian-Pilot  October 25, 1913
The funeral of James McMahon, a former employee of Barnum and Bailey’s circus, who 
died in St. Vincent’s hospital on October 14, took place yesterday at Oliver’s 
funeral apartments on Freemason street. Services were conducted by Rev. J. J. 
Doherty of St. Mary’s Catholic church. Burial was in St. Mary’s cemetery.

Additional Comments:
There is a discrepancy between the HD Oliver record for the spelling of his last 
name and that of the newspaper obituary.
