Robert D. McMichael, aged 30, died suddenly in Princeton, W.Va. Tuesday afternoon. He was the son of the late Homer and Mrs. Mary McMichael, a native of Atlanta, Ga., but had made his home in Norfolk and Princeton for a number of years. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Rena Evans McMichael and one son, Robert D. McMichael, Jr., of Princeton; two half sisters, Margarite and Ethel Mae Michael and his stepmother, Mrs. E.E. McMichael, all of Atlanta. Mr. McMichael was captain of Company E. 150th Regiment, West Virginia National Guards, of Princeton; the Elks and the American Legion. Remains will arrive this morning via Virginian Railway at 7:30 o'clock and will be taken to the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne Road for funeral services tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. The Rev. L.E. Smith, D.D., pastor of Christian Temple, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
