Johnnie McNair, age 63, died April 19, at his residence, 1806 Goode avenue 
about 8:20 a.m.  He was the son of John and Ida McNair.

Mr. McNair was born in Tarboro, NC, but had lived in Norfolk over 40 years.  
He ws employed by the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartment.  He is survived by 
Mrs. Hazel McNair, wife;  four sons, Russell of Rocky Mount NC, Johnnie Jr., 
Donald and Melvin, all of Norfolk;  and one daughter, Miss Jean Ann McNair 
of Norfolk.

The Rev. W. A. Flannagan, pastor of the St. Paul CME Church, conducted the 
funeral services April 22 at 1:30 p.m.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in charge of 
arrangements.
