Washington High School (BTW)and a native of Lynchburg, died April 23. A graduate of BTW, she earned the B. S. and M. A. degrees in home economics from Hampton Institute. Miss McNair taught at Booker T. for 33 years retiring in July of 1972. She was the widow of Levi McNair and was a member of Bank Street Baptist Church and Eastern Star Lodge. Her only survivors are cousins, Mrs. Maxine Bradley of Lynchburg and Mrs. Rachael Harris of Takoma Park, MD. A funeral service was held in Bank Street Baptist Church on April 30, with Dr. James C. Griffin, officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with B. F. King Funeral Home in charge.
