Virginian-Pilot  November 23, 1947
James Thomas McNerney, 44, son of the late John and Dora Kelly McNerney, died In 
New York City Thursday. He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Wallace T. Bibb, Mrs. 
Alonzo Murden and Mrs. Dora Hogsett, of Norfolk, and Mrs. Stelle Hurst, of Abell, 
M.„ and a brother, Joseph V. McNerney, also of Norfolk. Mr. McNerney was a native 
of Norfolk and had resided in New York City for 20 years.
The body will be taken from the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to St. Mary’s Cemetery 
for funeral services at the graveside Monday at 2 p.m.
