Norfolk Virginian Pilot Friday February 26, 1943
Mrs. Sarah Anne McPherson, aged 69, widow of David J. McPherson, died at the 
residence, 820 Clay avenue, Wednesday afternoon at 2:20 o'clock. She is 
survived by a son, William T. McPherson, of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Mary E. 
Fatherly, of Norfolk; three brothers, Jesse H. and Samuel D. Fanshaw, both 
of Norfolk, and John L. Fanshaw, of Crewe; two grandchildren, William J. and 
Lillian Ann McPherson, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. McPherson was a 
lifelong resident of Norfolk and was the daughter of the late Samuel D. and 
Annie Whitehurst Fanshaw. She was a member of the Christian Temple.
The body was taken to the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home pending funeral 
arrangements
