Virginian Pilot August 24, 1909

Henry S. McPherson died suddenly of paralysis at his home on Pocahontas Avenue at 
10 o'clock Saturday night in the sixty-seventh year of his age.  He is survived by 
a widow and five daughters--Mrs. Eugene Robinson, of Farmville, Va.; Mrs. Henry 
Bennett, of Washington, D.C. and Misses Hattie, Ethel and Kate McPherson, of 
Norfolk and three sons--Messrs. H.R., C.R and W.W. McPherson, of Norfolk; also a 
grandson, M.R. Jackson, of Norfolk.  The funeral was conducted at 3 o'clock 
yesterday afternoon by Rev. George W. Cox, of Burrows' Memorial Baptist Church.  
The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk.
