Virginian Pilot Wednesday December 3, 1902

Mrs. Lillie Virginia McPherson, wife of Officer Miles W. McPherson, died 
yesterday morning at 11 o'clock at the family residence, No. 611 Berkley 
avenue, after a lingering illness of several weeks.  The deceased was in her 
35th year and was born in Currituck County, N.C., where she resided until 
two years ago, when she came to Berkley with her husband. Mrs. McPherson was 
of a beautiful Christian character, was a consistent member of the Berkley 
Avenue Baptist Church and was highly esteemed by those who knew her.  She 
leaves a husband and three children, two boys and one girl, also one brother 
and one sister.  Mrs. McPherson was well known and highly regarded by a host 
of friends, to whom her death will come as a shock.  The funeral will be 
conducted from the residence this afternoon by the Rev. A.J. Ramsey, pastor 
of Berkley Avenue Baptist Church.

The funeral of Mrs. M.W. McPherson will be conducted from the residence 
Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock, and the interment will be in Magnolia 
Cemetery.

The funeral of the late Mrs. M.W. McPherson, who departed this life Tuesday 
morning, will take place this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the residence.  
Rev. A.J. Ramsey will officiate and the remains will be laid to rest in 
Magnolia Cemetery.
